I was sick of having burnt toast from my old toaster oven so i went on a mission to find a new oven. I did not want a slice toaster, as i like to be able to heat leftover pizza, and make gilled cheese in my oven. After reading Cooks Illustrated, Consumer reports and other online reviews i decided on this one. It works great- toast, pizza, english muffins, all come out evenly toasted, in about 3-4 m. The modern design and push button features are also nice. My only concern is that its HUGE! It can toast 6 pieces of bread, which for a large family would be great. Overall very happy with my purchase

I bought this one with less than $150 at Amazon and it is a great deal for such a well built oven! There is one strong criticisms on this product ... most likely "finger burn holding the handle". How spoiled they are! When you touch hot surface, protect yourself! Learn how to use rather than blaming others! In our household, everyone holds handle with palm up! No brainer! I don't know when we adapted the habit but I believe it was long time ago. Also the fan noise of convection mode is surprisingly quiet considering the size of fan. I saw many reviews complaining the noise but they don't know how difficult it is to make small fans move large amount of air quietly (Have you seen quiet small vacuum cleaners? Never!) What I am saying is patient way of saying "Don't have unreasonable expectation and criticize when you can't have it". Other person says overly complicated operation! C'mon! It took less than a few minutes to read and learn from user's manual. It is one time deal and easier than going to bathroom! Don't people know the Electronic digital controls made Home appliances much more reliable because there is less physical wear? (I appreciate the small foot print because of it) Again: blaming others for own deficiencies or laziness! I really appreciate the way someone designed the good product with such a reasonable price! My old much more expensive Krups was a lot noisier and ugly! With the price, I will not complain even if it breaks down in 5 years and it has 3 year warranty!

I purchased this for my daughter who is living in an apartment without a working oven. It was to replace an older smaller Black and Decker toaster oven which was still working. Because of its larger size it functions as an oven as well as a toaster. I have had an older smaller Cuisinart convection toaster oven for several years and love it, using it instead of my wall oven when baking smaller, "just for two," portions. My daughter has been very pleased with her new large Cuisinart.

We just bought the Cuisinart tob 195 because of all the positive ratings and reviews read about here and everywhere else. Why did NO ONE say that the entire outside of the unit (except the door and handle) gets EXTREMELY HOT? You could get a bad burn if you touch the top or sides when it's in operation. You can't keep anything in a plastic bag (bread?) on top of the unit. I am very displeased with my purchase! mary tomaselli

A fine piece of equipment. Works as advertised. As far as the complaint about the hot handle, (now I know why they put stupid warnings on labels), IN ORDER TO COOK FOOD YOU HAVE TO GET IT HOT..
btw It toasts better than any toaster I've owned in the last 70 yrs.
