I bought this toaster because I have had such good luck with other Cuisinart small appliances. However, this toaster is a year old and already, two walls of elements are entirely burned out. Furthermore, the lever on one side will not always stay down. My toaster only gets used once a day, so there is no reason for this breakage. This was an absolute waste of money--and another cheaply made product that has to go to the garbage dump. Disgusting.

This is one of the best looking and hardest working toasters i have ever purchased. I bought this as a gift for my parents to replace the identical one that had been so overworked it stopped functioning. Normally, if something breaks, i wouldn't replace it with the same item, but they had had this toaster for several years and it had been used daily, if not several times a day. If this toaster can last 3+ years in a house where 8 children and 10 grandchildren can show up for breakfast, lunch or dinner (or just toast!) several times a week, then I think it can stand up to anything.

I bought this toaster after purchasing a GE unit that was recalled. I have never had evenly toasted bread in my entire life. i was impressed with the eveness of my toast. Very good product.

We have had several Cuisinart toasters and when we got this one for a Christmas present, I was very pleased and immediately gave away my older Cuisinart toaster. What a mistake! This toaster is the worst toaster I have ever owned. It either doesn't toast at all, no matter what the setting, burns the bread, or does half and half (half burned, half raw). There is also the major problem that almost no size of bread fits into the slots and the slots are very narrow for bagels. I am in the process of looking for a new toaster because I can not stand this one any longer. Sorry, Cuisinart, but you messed up with this one!

Works well and the settings are nicely adjustable. Provides an even toast on bread, English muffins and bagels. Buttons are easy to push, knobs turn nicely too.
I like that it was on sale too.
